I recently bought a Zenza Bronica ETRS. I had a question for which I couldn’t find an answer. I read Zenza Bronica Manual which states that without battery camera can shoot at a mechanical shutterspeed of 1/500 but I couldn’t see it happening even in this video tutorial at 0:28 sec. I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong. Since I am very new to this camera your guidance would be helpful.
Hi,
different to DSLRs the curtain in Zenza Bronica cameras is in the lens ! In the video you can only see the mirror going up. The lens of the Zenza system has two set of diaphragm blades. The rear one sets the aperture, the front one acts as the curtain. Watch this video from 2:34
